We are a SaaS company based in the Gold Coast, Australia. Our Engineering team build a product that genuinely delights our customers, improving their daily operations in the supply chain and logistics industry. We recently launched our software into the North American market and have a keen interest in continually building our market share globally!


Our Role


We have an open role for a Senior Software Engineer with PHP and/or Java. Our tech stack?!! The product was originally developed with PHP, MySQL, Docker and AWS. With a focus on future growth, we have embarked on a journey to add a React JS frontend and Java microservices backend. For PHP Developers, we would encourage an interest in future server developments in Java.

Whilst our warehousing and distribution solutions offer our customers incredibly simple solutions, the software itself is rich and complex and has plenty for you to sink your teeth into! The successful candidate will have a desire to not only implement new features and improvements to the existing software, but to work with the support and operations team on understanding customer roadblocks and requirements to ensure they become successful users of the system.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Analysis, specifications, design and implementation of software development within the life cycle changes;
  • Development of Java services and/or PHP web applications and services;
  • Collaborating with your team and applying a continuous improvement approach;
  • Elevate the technology and consistently apply best practice.

To be successful, we are looking for:


  • Demonstrated commercial Java or PHP development experience, working on large applications
  • Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as ReactJS, Angular, or Vue.js
  • AWS infrastructure experience with CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with REST APIs, both from provider and client perspectives
  • A clear focus on web app performance optimisation
  • Desire and ability to learn, understand and explain the technology behind CartonCloud
  • True passion for challenging the norm with creative thinking and strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to set your own direction, work with an agile mindset and yet highly motivated to succeed as part of a team
  • Exceptional communication skills, for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Previous mentoring and leadership will be highly regarded.
